Connecting Culture, Language and Tradition Through Design.
We invite you to join us on Thursday, March 30th starting at 5:00pm for the 9th Annual Women in Architecture Celebration, back again at House of Blues. This year’s speaker will be Tamarah Begay, AIA, NCARB, AICAE, CDT, LEED AP BD+C, the first Navajo woman registered architect and founder and CEO of Indigenous Design Studio + Architecture presenting the topic Connecting Culture, Language and Tradition Through Design.
Tamarah will be sharing her unique viewpoint and understanding of the indigenous world, how to incorporate indigenous practice into our daily lives, and how to effectively use community participatory planning processes as a tool to develop concepts and solutions for design.
She will also discuss why sustainability should be part of a holistic thinking process. We are excited to bring Tamarah to this year’s celebration, and we look forward to seeing you there!
