Business of Architecture is intended to help AIA members and greater Cleveland design community to enhance their business acumen through expert presentations or moderated panel discussion, interactive peer discussions, and the exchange of practical tools, all centered around topic-specific facets of the design practice.

In this engaging panel discussion, we'll explore the reasons and examples illustrating how investing in professional development during the 40-hour work week benefits both employees and the firms. Such programs cultivate a skilled, satisfied, and committed workforce equipped to address current and future challenges, enhancing employee retention, fostering innovation, and preparing staff for leadership roles. We'll also review different programs that the three local firms have implemented, and we’ll examine various KPIs that contribute to the firm's overall success.

EVENT LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

Attendees will learn how to build a successful professional development program through examples that have worked from local firms.

Attendees will understand why these types of staff programs are important to build a strong businesses growth and how to incorporate it into their overall business plan.

Attendees will consider different staff education concepts and how to plan for an effective training opportunity.

Attendees will learn the long-term benefits of investing in staff through professional development will drive overall organizational success.
