Cleveland 2030 District: What the 2025 PJM Price Surge Means to Budgets

  • Online (via Zoom) (map)

PJM is our regional transmission organization, managing the transmission of electricity and operating the grid.  The PJM capacity auction resulted in a surge by nearly tenfold compared to current cost.  This will mean higher prices for all businesses in the PJM service area starting June of 2025.  This includes Ohio.

In this session we will examine the causes for this spike - such as the retirement of certain power plants, the surging demand for electricity, and the implementation of market reforms. We will also discuss how you can proactively plan efficiency projects and reduce your peak load contribution to mitigate this cost for your property.

Our professional partner, TPI Efficiency, will walk through what you need to know and offer suggestions for how you can develop a strategy for your building.

Speaker:
Karl Shaw, COO, TPI Efficiency

There is no fee to attend this session, but a donation is always appreciated.
