CIA Hand Drawing Instructional + University Circle Sketch Crawl

Join us for a hands-on course in architectural hand drawing by CIA instructor Michael Gollini, followed by a sketch crawl through Cleveland's beautiful University Circle.  The event will be followed by a happy hour at The Jolly Scholar.

Schedule: Meet at CIA 5:00-6:00 for Drawing Instructional with Assoc. Professor Michael A. Gollini, 6-7:00 pm Sketch Crawl University Circle, followed by a Happy Hour at The Jolly Scholar.

Masks are required for The Cleveland Institute of Art.

Supplies you will need
8.5x11 or smaller sketch book/paper
Pen, Ink, Pencil, and or Water Colors
Your sketching media of choice

Learning Objectives:

1. Participants will learn formal architectural hand drawing techniques to sketch architectural spaces and form with more confidence.

2. Participants will apply drawing techniques learned from objective #1 by practicing impromput hand sketching of buildings and details on a group sketch crawl.

3. Participants will analyze observed objects for how they are affected by light, shadow and materials.

4.  Participants will explore setting up drawings into compositions that frames a building or space to tell a story.
