You will gain an understanding of the differences between a Linear & Circular Economy as it relates to the use of Brazilian Wood.

We will discuss current economic conditions, global market trends, super use strategy, case studies, and sustainability of this natural resource for construction in Cleveland.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

Attendees will learn how the global industry works with regards to Reclaimed Wood that takes a circular economic approach that is restorative to nature verses a liner economic approach that has a high percentage of discard and waste.

Attendees will learn the circular concept of harvesting (search and find), collect (dismantles from existing structures)and reuse of Reclaimed Wood via Case Study - Villa Welpeloo in the Netherlands & the Superuse Strategy.

Attendees will learn the sustainable efforts of the use of reclaimed wood as a natural resource verses sacrificing virgin wood forests in the U.S., along with the reclamation process of reclaim existing structures.

Attendees will learn the Reclamation Process by Brazil Reclaimed Wood, the characteristics and properties of the product, along with the type of use in both interior and exterior architectural design.
