Building Education Series 2022

HOW DO WE BUILD BETTER BUILDINGS?

MAY 19TH 8-10 AM ET

In this session we will review three diverse, exemplary projects.  PITT OHIO's new terminal in Parma is a model for efficiency, incorporating solar, wind and geothermal.  Speakers will discuss the impetus for the project and the details of the design and construction.  We will also hear about a historic preservation project in Kent, the LN Gross building.  This LEED certified building overcame unique issues due to its age and designation as a historic building.  Nonetheless, they renovated this art-deco style building into an efficient space while preserving its historic look.  Our third project is the Melink HQ2 building in Cincinnati.  This net zero building was modeled after the first net zero building on their campus.  It incorporates the latest technology in windows and door systems, highly insulated walls, geothermal and solar installations.

We will have time for panel style Q&A. You won't want to miss this session.  We will prove that efficient buildings of all types can - and are being built.
