Green is Good: The Business Case for Sustainability

Designers and owners often seek to create value in their buildings through sustainable design, yet the implementation of sustainable strategies is often limited by decision making that prioritizes first cost. To encourage more strategic decision making, designers and construction teams must demonstrate the long-term economic, social, and environmental value that sustainable buildings can deliver. Featuring high-performing projects in Ohio, this presentation will explain how architects and engineers were able to explore evidence-based design strategies that draw from experience, execute sustainable designs that leverage data and quantify impact, and earn access to available diversified funding sources for their clients.
