We will discuss the impact that building heating and cooling systems have on the environment and public heath, and how district energy systems can minimize that impact. The presentation will include an overview of district energy systems, how they work, and the environmental, health, and safety benefits that district energy systems provide.

The presentation will also review various low-carbon technologies that can be implemented with district energy, as well as several examples of district energy systems operating with low-carbon technologies throughout North America.
