Daniel Burnham’s Mall Symposium

Come learn about the effort by Placemark Collaborative to designate Cleveland’s Historic Mall and Group Plan as a National Historic Landmark (NHL), the highest designation by the National Parks Service. The program will include a presentation by Placemark Collaborative and a community discussion led by Tom Yablonsky and Shannon Nichol, FASLA.

Ms. Nichol is an internationally renowned landscape architect who created the winning design for the Lurie Garden at Millennium Park in Chicago; was design lead on Boston’s North End on the Rose Kennedy Greenway; was the lead on the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation’s campus. Of local note, she was on the project team for the redevelopment of Cleveland’s Convention Center and Malls B and C, which were completed in 2013.

A reception will follow the presentation.
