Building Education Series: How Large Organizations Are Addressing Climate Change

Large corporations can have a dramatic impact on how the U.S. will meet its climate goals, not only through their own efforts, but how they might influence other companies to take action.  Our speakers from Trane, American Greetings and JOANN will talk about all aspects of their sustainability journeys.  We'll hear about their process for developing their ESG goals and the progress they've made.  Speakers will cover how the proposed SEC ruling and recently passed Inflation Reduction Act will impact their businesses - and how they might impact yours. We'll also talk about issues specific to their businesses, like how they're managing their carbon footprint, supply chain management, and managing expectations from leased properties.  There will be ample time for Q & A and open discussion.

 Speakers:

Jason Wood, Director Corporate Responsibility, JOANN
Kristina Beifus, Director of Compliance and Sustainability, American Greetings Corporation
Sydney Whitehead, Building Services Account Manager, TraneTechnologies
Megan Phillips, Account Manager Services, Trane Commercial Systems & Services
