Young Architects and Associates
We are a committee dedicated to bridging the gap between passion and practice in the built environment; embracing advocates, students and emerging professionals.
The Young Architects and Associates Commitee will typically meet every other month for morning donuts. Our committee is host to many activities and events through the year and we hope you would like to be a part of it. Below are a list of some of the things we do.
Speakers on the Square
We will once again be organizing and putting on our Speakers on the Square lecture this summer. This will be our 4th annual presentation bringing together a panel of great minds to discuss a topic through the lens of Cleveland.
This year we want to increase opportunities to help you get licensed and celebrate each step of the way with you. This includes planning to organize a regular ARE study session with our tentative first class in February. We have ARE 4.0 and 5.0 study materials at the AIA office. We have added a section to the AIA Cleveland website with links to helpful study resources.
We currently have a list of many great people in the AIA that are looking to mentor other members. Our mentorship program currently has many matches that are growing our younger members towards licensing and beyond. Our goal from the board is to provide all Associate Members with a mentor as they develop. If you are interested in becoming a mentor or would like one, please go to our Mentorship Page.
Our meetings will be held on Thursday’s or Friday’s every other month at 7:30am. Coffee and donuts will be provided. Meetings are announced in the AIA newsletter.
The best use of your AIA membership comes with attending events and participating in this community. We hope you can join us in experiencing AIA Cleveland’s 2017 Programming.
